Well, I haven't exactly read a whole lot more since my last post, but I've read some. I got a little distracted with robotics for a while, but then went back to reading.
In any case, the end of the quarter is in two weeks! Which means that I have to be done with my outside reading book stuff very soon, which isn't very good considering I finished my book so long ago that I don't really remember what happened anymore. I mean, I remember the main story, obviously, but the details seem to be missing from my memory. I may actually reread the book this week in preparation for my in-class essay. I hate in-class essays. They're always so stressful since it takes me so long to write a good essay that I'm always scrambling to finish at the last minute. Oh well...
Must go read some more. And then work on homework. Oh boy.

I Actually Read!!
As you can see from my blog title, I actually read this weekend!!! I have been engrossed in Eclipse every spare moment of my weekend, and I can't wait to finish it! I am just at the part where Edward has "proposed" to Bella, and she accepted. Ahhhh!!!!! The suspense!!!! It's killing me!!!!
Anyways, I'm really glad that the werewolves and vampires are starting to work together now. It was ridiculous when they hated each other for no reason. And I'm glad that Bella can be around both of them now without getting in trouble. However it is really started to bug me that Charlie hates Edward so much. I can understand where he's coming from, I mean, Edward did make Bella absolutely miserable when he left, but if he's making Bella happy now, he should just butt out. At least in my opinion...
Well, I'm going to cut this short now so I can go keep reading. Adieu for now.

400 Blows Extra Credit
I did not like the film The 400 Blows, written and directed by François Truffaut. In my opinion, it was a long string of depressing events in the life of the main character Antoine Doinel, played by Jean-Pierre Léaud, that did not form any real plot. All it did was show how awful Jean-Pierre’s home life was and how much he had to struggle. Although I did think that it raised some interesting themes, the other aspects of the film were sorely lacking in anything to hold my interest: the music was repetitive and obnoxious, the camera shots were often longer than was necessary or beneficial, and the acting wasn’t anything special, among other things.

Post Number Eight
Well, I have not had any time to read since my last post, so I really don't have much more to say about that. Homecoming was fun. I'm kind of glad it's over though...So much fuss and work for one night, and now I'm exhausted and can't even go to bed because I haven't finished my homework. But at least it's MEA next week so I only have to make it through three days of school before I can relax. And Wednesday is the PSATs! I'm excited. Call me crazy, but I actually like standardized tests, especially when they don't count for anything. You don't even want to know all the optional tests I've taken!
But I have to go finish my homework so I can sleep now. Buh bye.

Post Number 7
I should probably work on my titles, hunh?
Well I unfortunately haven't had much time to read so far this week. It's been a very busy week so, despite the fact that I have Eclipse, I have only been able to read four chapters. But those four chapters have been very exciting. Bella and Jacob just finished talking for the first time since the Cullens came back to Forks.
I'm finding it very frustrating that Jacob and Edward won't let Bella be around each other. It has to be either Jacob and Bella or Edward and Bella, which leaves Bella with a very tough choice. She cares about both of them and can't decide between them.
But I can't wait to continue reading and find out what happens next!

Post Number Six
In addition to finishing Until They Bring the Streetcars Back this week, I also started--and finished--both Twilight and New Moon by Stephenie Meyer. They were amazing!!!!!!!! They were the kind of books that, once you started reading, you absolutely cannot put down no matter how hard you try. They sure made it difficult for me to sleep. I am eagerly awaiting getting the third book in the series, Eclipse from a friend on Monday.
The books are about a very danger-prone girl named Bella who falls in love with a vampire named Edward. Far-fetched I know, but incredibly good nonetheless. There are complications, of course, since Edward is a vampire and Bella is a human, in a very intriguing plot that will keep you on the very edge of your seat the entire time. There is also the fact that her best friend is a werewolf, the archenemy of vampires. This also causes some problems.
But if you haven't read these books, I would highly recommend them. Just make sure you have enough uninterrupted time to read them--they can make doing homework very difficult.

Post Number Five...I Think
Well I actually finished my outside reading book this week! Isn't that exciting? I really liked it to. Once you really started reading the book, you get really involved with the plot and all the characters. And it has a really good story as well. I thought the ending was kind of sad though. Sad and yet strangely uplifting. It was also interesting finishing the book after having talked to the author. I understood some things better than I would have otherwise because I knew what they meant to the author. For example, the title Until They Bring the Streetcars Back was based on a line from the book. Knowing exactly how that title came to be made the line all that more powerful. So basically it was a very good book with believable characters and a very interesting plot.
